INCODE’s Application Area 1 specifically addresses the logistics and transport quality value chain. Under the lead of  iLink , Arhs Developments, Suite5, the University of Patras, and Uni Systems are designing, developing, and implementing software components aimed at providing robust solutions for more productive and safer working environments.

The online event titled “Advancing towards the Cloud, Edge, and IoT Continuum: Insights and Impacts” recently took place, organised by UNLOCK-CEI as part of the EUCloudEdgeIoT (EUCEI) initiative. The event saw the participation of over 70 live attendants across Europe, including industry professionals, researchers, policymakers, and technology enthusiasts.

This survey is part of the project “Architecture for Scalable, Self-*, human-centric, Intelligent, Secure, and Tactile next generation IoT’ – ‘ASSIST-IoT’”, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 957258.

In a recent event hosted by SWForum.eu, researchers and practitioners came together to discuss the evolving landscape of software engineering, revealing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

July 10 saw the organisation of the webinar “Cloud-Edge-IoT Innovations in Manufacturing”. The event explored the transformations witnessed by the manufacturing industry in recent years, providing in-depth market and industry insights for the manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on cloud-edge-IoT use cases. It also provided valuable information and knowledge to navigate the evolving manufacturing landscape and unlock this sector’s true potential of the Cloud-Edge-IoT continuum.

The MetaOS are key enabler of the development of the mentioned computing continuum as they aspire to become the next generation of higher-level operating systems designed to integrate the Internet of Things within the Edge Computing and Cloud ecosystem.

ECCO (European Cybersecurity Community) is a pioneering initiative dedicated to fostering cooperation and driving innovation within the European cybersecurity landscape. Via cyberwatching.eu ECCO is encouraging active collaboration within EC-funded projects which address cybersecurity, offering a wide array of mechanisms to facilitate engagement and interaction.

Significant activity is currently in progress to build the IoT-Edge-Cloud continuum, initiated by the industry, the academia, the EU and other private and public organisations at the international level.
