The one-day event provided a platform for thought leaders to engage in roundtables, keynote speeches, workshops, and showcases of best practices. The summit aimed to forge innovative solutions and strategic collaborations to transform Europe’s digital skills landscape.
The Unlock-CEI project was prominently featured at the “20×30: Europe’s ADS Summit” held recently in Madrid. This critical event, aimed at addressing Europe’s shortage of ICT professionals, brought together leading figures from business, academia, and policy-making to strategise on developing advanced digital skills. The summit supports the Digital Decade policy initiative and aspires to add 20 million new ICT specialists by 2030.
Golboo Pourabdollahian, coordinator of the Unlock-CEI project, participated in a session titled “The Perspectives of Industry – Acquiring Talents in a Fast-Changing Environment.” This session, moderated by Ana Garcia Robles, Secretary General of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), examined strategies for attracting and retaining talent amidst rapid technological advancements and evolving work preferences.
The panel included:

Her presentation highlighted the need for a skilled workforce to drive the implementation and success of advanced digital solutions across various sectors.
The session facilitated robust discussions on strategies to build a sustainable pipeline of ICT talent, ensuring Europe’s competitiveness in the global digital economy. The Unlock-CEI project continues to play a crucial role in fostering innovation and collaboration within the European Cloud-Edge-IoT (EUCEI) community.
