Scenario 1 takes place at the Swiss Smart Factory, a dynamic hub within the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, dedicated to fostering Industry 4.0 through its test and demonstration platform.
Embark on a journey through the Swiss Smart Factory’s Industry 4.0 Lighthouse Factory, a collaborative initiative involving over 70 companies, showcasing sustainable and human-centric manufacturing practices. The focus of this scenario lies in green manufacturing and CO2 footprint monitoring, challenging the traditional method of calculating the product’s carbon footprints. The introduction of aerOS revolutionizes the approach, using locally generated data to accurately represent the carbon footprint across the entire value chain, from production to logistics and de-manufacturing.
This initiative enables the implementation of a digital product passport, providing customers with profound insights into their custom drones’ environmental impact. In the future, the aim is to measure the carbon footprint of individual drone components, ensuring full transparency through sensor tracking and part marking. In addition, by optimizing production and logistics processes through aerOS services, a substantial reduction in the carbon footprint is anticipated.
