DESCRIPTION:The Blue Planet: A Marriage of Sea and Space Sponsored by the IEEE IoT Technical Community\nThe 9th IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT2023) seeks submissions and proposals for original technical papers and presentations that address the Internet of Things (IoT)\, its theoretical and technological building blocks\, the applications that drive the growth and evolution of IoT\, operational considerations\, experimentation\, experiences from deployments\, and the impacts of IoT on consumers\, the research community\, the public sector\, and commercial verticals. \nThe theme for WF-IoT2023 is “The Blue Planet: A Marriage of Sea and Space”\, encouraging the submissions of content focused on aspects of IoT that cover most of our planet and the near space environment. The World Forum will be held as a hybrid event\, accepting in person and virtual presentations\, and will be conducted 12 October – 27 October 2023. \n\n\nPaper submissions for Peer-Reviewed Technical Papers are due 16 July 2023. All accepted Peer-Reviewed Technical Papers will be included in the proceedings (in IEEE Xplore). A complete list of topics and directions can be found on the IEEE World Forum on the Internet of Things Website. \n\n\nPeer Reviewed Technical Paper Submissions\nPapers should address\, but are not limited to the following high-level topics: \n\nApplication and Use Cases\nArtificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Technologies\nBig Data Algorithms and Analysis\nBioengineering and IoT\nCloud\, Fog\, and Embedded Computing\nCommunication\, Networking and Broadcast Technologies\nComponents\, Circuits\, Electronic Systems\, and Signal Processing\nComputer Storage and Data Systems\nCybersecurity\, Security\, Privacy\, and Trust\nDigital Twins in IoT Applications\nFields\, Waves and Electromagnetics\nHuman-machine interfaces\nImpact of IoT on the Engineering Professions and on the Society\nIoT Technologies in the Maritime Environment\nPower\, Energy\, and Industrial Applications\nResults from Experiments\, Demonstrations\, Trials\, and Deployments\nRobotics and Control Systems\nSensors and Networked Sensor Systems\nSpace Based Communications and Remote Sensing\nStandards and Regulation\nTransportation\, Connected Vehicles\, and Multi-modal Systems\nSystems Engineering and Operation Technologies\nTheoretical Foundations\, Design Methods\, and Architectural Considerations\n\nSpecial Sessions\, Workshops\, and Industry Forums\nAs part of the Technical Program\, the World Forum is also seeking proposals for: (1) Special Sessions consisting of peer-reviewed papers and interactive presentations focused on research topics of importance to IoT; (2) Workshops\, consisting of peer-reviewed papers\, discussions\, and summary results about advanced topics relevant to IoT. Workshop summary results will be edited and published as part of the WF-IoT2023 Proceedings; and (3) Industry Forums consisting of presentations and panel discussions aimed at research topics important to industrial IoT issues. The proposals are due by 26 April 2023.\nOnce accepted\, proposers for Special Sessions and Workshops will issue an individual call for papers for selected topics. \nPaper submissions for Special Sessions and Workshops are due 23 July 2023. \nVertical and Topical Tracks for Practitioners\nThe World Forum will include Vertical and Topical Tracks on designated topics. Leading experts will lead interactive presentations\, focused on topics of importance to IoT practitioners addressing aspects of actual IoT implementations\, adoptions\, deployments\, and operations. Most of speakers are chosen by invitations by the Vertical and Topical Track Chairs.
